I just applied at O'Reilly's and Autozone, so we'll see... With my school schedule if I worked myself into the ground I could make $1200/mo before taxes. My plan is to save up as much as possible then buy a new car with 2/3rds of the money in January as a birthday present to myself.

WHY DO LOW FIEROS LOOK SO GOOD!?!?!?

You could also deliver pizzas like I did. It's a surprisingly well paid gig, $15-$20 an hour on good nights. Either way, making any money's good. Hire-a-Shocker's a good resource too.
I actually think this Fiero looks good for the money, aside from the blatant odometer rollback. You could probably talk him down to $2500 or lower.

My dad refuses to let me deliver pizzas because they don't pay enough for gas and he doesn't want me driving the car that much. Or something. Hell if I know.
I need to actually *use* Hire-A-Shocker. I made an account but haven't uploaded my resume yet.

Weird. Pizza Hut paid $1.25 gas comp per delivery, which normally was way more than enough, considered each trip was like 4-6 miles. I never had any car troubles, but that's subjective. Granted, yeah I put a ton of miles on doing it.
Other than that, dealerships maybe. I think I tried stuff like that freshman year.

Did you investigate getting the ABS module rebuilt? Was that what was wrong? I get so confused ...

Oooh, dealerships would be interesting. I'm pretty good at selling things given that my whole life has been convincing my dad of one thing or the other.
Last time I talked to someone about working at the Hutt they said they pay peanuts for gas, so I dunno what's going on there. I might do some searching.

The ABS module is still buggered. It hasn't tried to kill me yet but we're probably going to get it fixed because that's pretty much the only thing that could be wrong.
Actually, next week I could probably just pull one from a parts car and put it on there.

It should be the same rate for all stores, but maybe things have changed. I don't think you'd be a salesman there; More than likely you'd be cleaning cars. Speaking of which, try the rental places as well. All that job is is cleaning cars and driving them.

I could totally do that. I love detailing my car (as much as you can polish a matte-black turd).

That's a good solution. A lot of repairs on modern cars can be accomplished by swapping out a part. There is little tuning left to do ....
